Fees and Insurance
How much do sessions cost?
Without insurance, my fee is $170 per session for individuals.
What about insurance?
I am in-network with the following types of insurance:
-
UnitedHealthcare
-
Oxford Health Plans
-
Aetna
-
UMR
-
Oscar
-
UHC Student Resources
That said, some plans do have idiosyncrasies that prohibit me from taking insurance in-network. I will do an "insurance check" before we begin our first session if you would like to use your in-network coverage.
What if you don't take my insurance?
Your insurance will likely cover a significant portion of my $170 fee, even though I’m not in-network. You likely have out-of-network insurance benefits which you can use with me. When out-of-network benefits are used for therapy with me the fee usually drops to somewhere between $45-$90 per session.
Good Faith Estimate Information:
As a client, you have the right to request a "good faith estimate" for your therapy services upon request, as guaranteed by the No Surprises Act. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. This estimate will give you an idea of what to in terms of costs you can make an informed decision about your care.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
Can I contact you by phone or email?
You may contact me by phone or email with a date and time when I can reach you. Though to ensure your privacy and confidentiality, I don't discuss clinical matters outside the consulting room. If you are unable to reach me in an emergency, call 911 or go immediately to the nearest emergency room.
